Buying a Home at La Torre Golf Resort

A Nicklaus course, a plaza of its own and a surprisingly accessible price level.
One of the best-functioning resorts on the Costa Cálida.

Why La Torre Golf Resort?

La Torre Golf Resort sits near Roldán, in the municipality of Torre-Pacheco, in the heart of the Costa Cálida's golfing country. Its popularity rests on a combination that is genuinely rare: a Jack Nicklaus signature course, a lively plaza with restaurants and services, communal pools spread across the site — and a price level considerably more accessible than the exclusive resorts of the Costa Blanca.

That draws a great many British, Irish, Dutch and Belgian buyers, both for personal use and for letting. The resort stays alive all year, which also makes it attractive to winter residents. From our office we are there in around half an hour.

Living at La Torre Golf Resort

A Nicklaus signature course

An 18-hole Jack Nicklaus design in the middle of the resort — a course with a name, without the price tag of the exclusive clubs.

A lively plaza

Restaurants, bars and services on the central square — the social heart of the resort, in winter as much as summer.

An accessible price level

Often the most affordable route into a golf resort property in the region — with the same sun and the same facilities.

A strong rental market

Golf, pools and a well-established reputation with British and Irish tenants generate demand throughout the year.

The property market at La Torre Golf Resort

Supply at La Torre is largely apartments and bungalows in low-rise blocks around the course and the pools, supplemented by townhouses and villas. Most of it dates from the building boom of the 2000s; condition and management vary from block to block, and that translates directly into both value and day-to-day enjoyment.

We look at three things here above all: the position within the resort (how far from the plaza and the pool?), the condition of the block and its community association, and the realistic rental yield after costs. That way you know whether an attractive asking price is genuinely an attractive purchase.

Frequently asked questions about La Torre Golf Resort

Is La Torre Golf the same as Torre-Pacheco?
Not quite. La Torre Golf Resort sits near Roldán, within the municipality of Torre-Pacheco. Torre-Pacheco is the Spanish town at the centre of that municipality, a few minutes away, with shops, schools and amenities.
Do I need to play golf to live there?
No. A great many residents never play and come for the pools, the plaza, the climate and the quiet. Property ownership and golf membership are entirely separate.
What about letting at La Torre?
Demand is strong, particularly from the UK and Ireland. Tourist letting requires a Murcia region licence; we check whether that is possible for each property and cost the yield after expenses realistically.
How far are the beach and the airport?
Los Alcázares and the Mar Menor are roughly 15 minutes away, Murcia-Corvera roughly 20–25 minutes and Alicante-Elche roughly 50.
