Andalusia's undiscovered coast — peace, space and the most sunshine in Spain.
Independent guidance from search profile to notary, entirely on your side.
The Costa Almería is the easternmost coast of Andalusia — and by far the least discovered of the three coasts in our working area. The province of Almería is among the sunniest and driest places in Europe, with unspoilt beaches, the famous Cabo de Gata natural park and villages where Spain still feels genuinely Spanish.
For buyers, that means: typically the lowest prices of the three coasts, more space around your home and a tranquillity you will no longer find on the busier costas. The flip side: fewer amenities within walking distance and fewer direct flights outside the season. We will tell you honestly whether this coast suits your plans.
This coast is not for everyone — and that is exactly what makes it so attractive for the right buyer.
Long, empty beaches, the Cabo de Gata natural park and a hinterland of mountains and white villages. No high-rise promenades — just space.
More square metres, larger plots and more often a sea view for the same budget. Ideal if value matters more to you than liveliness.
The driest and one of the warmest winter climates on the Spanish mainland — with a growing international community around Vera and Mojácar.
Where the Costa Blanca has long been discovered, the Costa Almería is only just beginning. Buying now means buying ahead of the crowd.
We focus mainly on the northern part of the Costa Almería — the part most accessible from our office and from the airports of Murcia and Alicante:
The first town beyond the Murcia border: new seafront apartment complexes, beautiful coves and rapidly growing popularity among international buyers.
Historic town with a modern beach district: wide sandy beaches, plenty of new builds and good amenities — one of the most complete towns on this coast.
An authentic fishing town with a lively harbour and promenade (Garrucha) and the small, quiet Villaricos — for those seeking real coastal life.
The famous white hilltop village above the sea, with Mojácar Playa below: kilometres of beach with chiringuitos and restaurants. The best-known name on the Costa Almería.
Gateway to the Cabo de Gata natural park: unspoilt beaches such as Playa de los Muertos and a down-to-earth Spanish character.
The protected natural park with the most unspoilt coastline in Spain. Living there is restricted — but as a destination from your home, it is priceless.
The Costa Almería lies in Andalusia — a different autonomous region than the Costa Cálida (Murcia) and the Costa Blanca (Valencia). That may sound like a detail, but it directly affects your purchase:
We know the differences between the three regions and verify the legal status of every property before you sign. Can't travel yourself? With CasaScout we view the property on your behalf, with a photo and video report.
In short: the Costa Blanca offers the most amenities and the largest international community, the Costa Cálida combines tranquillity with the unique Mar Menor, and the Costa Almería is the most affordable and unspoilt of the three. Because we work in all three regions, you don't have to choose upfront — we compare objectively, based on your wishes.
From introduction and search profile to viewings, negotiation, legal checks and the notary: we are entirely on your side — not the seller's. Buying a new build? Then our full service is free of charge for you, as we are paid by the developer. How it works step by step, and what it costs, is explained on our Buyers Agent Spain page.
