Buying a Home in Campoamor

The green, established side of the Orihuela Costa — pine trees, golf and wide beaches.
Smart without the show.

Why Campoamor?

Dehesa de Campoamor — Campoamor for short — is one of the oldest and most established urbanisations on the Orihuela Costa. Unlike the newer resorts further along the coast, Campoamor grew up among the pine trees, with generous plots, classic villas and a green, mature streetscape. The Real Club de Golf Campoamor lies in the hills behind it, and the beaches of Playa de Campoamor and Aguamarina are among the widest on the southern coast.

Campoamor attracts buyers looking for quality and calm without being cut off: the La Zenia shopping centre, the Cabo Roig promenade and the golf courses of Las Colinas and Villamartín are all within ten minutes.

The property market in Campoamor

The market here has two faces: classic villas on generous plots in the old, green part of the urbanisation, often with renovation potential, and modern new-build villas and apartments on the edges and in the hills near the golf. Sea views and walking distance to the beach are the dominant price factors.

With the older villas in particular, a thorough technical and legal check is essential: extensions and alterations carried out in past decades have not always been correctly registered. That is exactly what we — with CasaScout and our legal partners — establish before you buy rather than after.

Frequently asked questions about buying in Campoamor

How does Campoamor differ from the rest of the Orihuela Costa?
Campoamor is older, greener and laid out more generously than most of the surrounding urbanisations. It attracts buyers who want an established neighbourhood rather than a brand-new resort — often with larger plots.
Are there new-build projects in Campoamor?
Yes, mainly on the edges and towards the golf courses, where modern villas and apartments are going up. On new-build our guidance is entirely free to you, because the developer pays our fee.
What should I check on an older villa?
The legal registration of extensions, pools and alterations, the technical condition, and the realistic cost of modernising. We check all of this as standard before you make an offer.
How far are the airports?
Alicante-Elche is roughly 45–50 minutes away and Murcia-Corvera roughly 35–40 minutes. Campoamor sits close to both the AP-7 and the N-332.
