1When we process your data
We process personal data at the points where you contact us or use our services. Below is what that involves in each case.
When you get in touch
Through the contact form, by email, by phone or via WhatsApp. We process your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message in order to answer your question.
When you complete the questionnaire or search profile
We process your contact details and the requirements you give us: budget, preferred region, property type, timescale and personal preferences. We use these to find suitable properties and advise you properly.
When you become a client
To guide you through a purchase we additionally process your address, identification details and the information needed for the buying process in Spain. We share these only with the parties involved in your purchase — see section 4.
When you stay at our holiday apartment
At online check-in we ask for name, date of birth, nationality, identity document details and a signature. We do this because landlords in Spain are legally required to record guest details and pass them to the competent authorities. Without them we cannot accommodate you.
When you enter a prize draw
We process your name, email address and country in order to run the draw and reach the winner. See also the terms and conditions.
When you want our emails
We process your name and email address to send you new properties and information about Spain. This happens only if you have asked for it. Every email carries an unsubscribe link.

3We don't sell anything on
We do not sell or rent your data to third parties, and we do not use it to have other companies approach you.
4Who we share data with
We share data only where it is necessary for our service or where the law requires it:
- Sellers, developers and agents in Spain — only when you want a viewing or reservation, and only the details needed for it.
- Notary, lawyer, gestor or bank — only in the event of an actual purchase, on your instruction.
- Our technical suppliers — for website hosting, form submission and email. Data processing agreements are in place with them.
- Spanish authorities — solely for the statutory guest registration.
Some of our suppliers are established outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers are covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
5Cookies
Our website uses functional storage needed to make the site work and to remember whether you have already seen a notice. No consent is required for this.
We also use analytics and advertising cookies to measure how our website is used and to evaluate our social media advertising. These are placed only after you have given consent, and you can change your choice at any time.
6Your rights
You can always ask us for:
- access to the data we hold about you;
- correction of data that is wrong;
- erasure of your data;
- restriction of, or objection to, our use of it;
- transfer of your data in a common file format;
- withdrawal of your consent, for instance for our emails.
Send your request to hola@anacosta.es. You will have a reply within a month. We may ask you to identify yourself, so that we don't hand data to the wrong person.
7Security
Our website runs solely over a secure connection. Access to your data is limited to the people who need to work with it. If you suspect something is wrong with your data, contact us straight away.
8Automated decision-making
We do not make decisions about you on the basis of automated processing. A person is always involved.
9Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, tell us first — we'll put it right. If we can't resolve it together, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
10Changes
We update this policy when the way we work changes. The current version is always on this page, dated at the top.
